Heimo, here's an alternative that might interest you:

It's basically a file manager with built-in support for LapLink and
null-modem cables.  The file manager is dual-pane, with intuitive
hotkeys, very straightforward.  I have not yet tried the cable
transfers.  It does appear to support four serial and three lpt:
ports.

There is no "device driver" mode; you must have File Maven running
on both machines to make the connection.  In other words, it's more
like FileLink than InterLnk/InterSrv.  Think of this as a freeware
LapLink replacement.
