Wow Travis, what can I say but...Thank you! Your offer is much
appreciated! As you probably noticed, Garry Hamilton posted
chop.exe - and it seems offer the flexibility I requested. I have
yet to test it, but from the docs it looks promising. Will let you
know.
About your print/format utility: I seem to remember you mentioned it
on the DOS-Discuss list earlier, but unfortunately I did not save your
message. What is the name of your print utility and did you upload it
to your FTP site? I have lots of stuff on disk I have been wanting to
print, but have hesitated partly because of the volume of paper
required - so I would like to give your program a try if possible.
About your FTP site: You might want to run a chkdsk or what ever the
Linux name for it is. I experienced something that could indicate a
problem with cross-linked files. I grabbed the *files.bbs* from your
utility directory - but it came across garbled, seem to hold the
binary of the PRN2FILE utility in the same directory. I disconnected
(also from my ISP) - connected again, but same result. Then I tried
the MISC directory, and the *files.bbs* there came across just fine.
PS: I recently moved to a new ISP, and they had a major disk accident
this weekend and week - mail servers shut down for couple of
days, seems to be OK now. Hope list messages sent to me did not
bounce back and cause you any problems (or maybe your listserv will
auto-unsub any bounces?) Don't know if I missed any thing, but people
here have reportedly received other peoples mail. Lots of commotion.
All the best,
Bjorn
