Having read Or's dilemma in converting BMP to something else, I
thought it would be worth mentioning that there is a programme for DOS
called DISPLAY, which converts all sorts of formats, does all sorts of
other processing tricks and even plays movie files! It does need a
386+, though and it comes on two floppies.
The version I have is called DISPLAY V1.89. In the documentation,
the following address is given, which may help in tracing the
programme for download:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] (140.113.11.13)
I obtained the file originally from the PDSL BBS, in the days before
I was 'netted'. I've found the programme very useful - another in the
category of 'Escape from Windoze'! That can't be a bad thing.
Hope this is helpful.
Ron.
