Greetings,

I just got done reading a few more keyboard cleaning suggestions, and would
like to voice a few concerns, that reflect the assumption of submersion of
the keyboard.....or atleast getting really wet.

Electronic computer components don't like water very well. I have used
water based cleaning solutions, However, it was on a Apple //e motherboard
and I had an air compressor handy to thoughly dry it afterwords. I also had
a few spares if I did wreck it. I have also cleaned cards doing this, but
in every case it was easily dried by the air compressor. Keyboards
simply have to many hiding places for water.

The other thing would be residue from cleaners such as Pinesol, or Mr.
Clean, dish soap or whatever. Thats bound to make keys stick, and just
possibly (this is just a guess, because they are alkaline) be slighty
conductive.

While cleaning elctronics I like to use rubbing alcohol, for the following
reasons:

1. I can get it cheap.
2. It doesn't contain enough water for me to worry about it.
3. It evaporates quickly and without any detectible residue.
4. It is the best thing I have found for removing permanent marker from
      plastic computer cases!
