Actually, not all 486's can take the upgrade. I've got a 486/33 that's
SOUGHTERED TO THE BOARD!  Then, my 66 is on a Socket 3, a
board that CAN take the upgrade (but I've never gotten around to
getting it).

Here's a web page with LOTS of differant 486/586 processors and
some basic info on each. At the bottom it even mentions some
adaptors that if you have a Socket 3 and a spare PCI card (my
board's only got ISA ;`(  ) you can throw in a Socket/Super 7 or
Socket 370 proc (depending on the adapter) on the system. Now
THAT is just wrong. ;`)
