Travis. The Sound Blaster Pro drivers *do not* support recording sound
under DOS with my Yamaha sound card -- no matter what I try to do!

Well, good for you. But it's not working for me.

Ok. Then find equivalent DOS software for recording sound with my Yamaha
card (or a Sound Blaster Pro compatible program) at the Creative Labs
website. I want this "junk" of which you speak. I boot with multiple
configurations -- I know it's not difficult. But what do you have in mind,
anyway? I've looked at and tried just about everything at the Creative Labs
website, without success. After calling Toshiba, they emphatically told me
that my machine does not have software (from them) that enables recording
capabilities. Why, I don't know... other than their lack of interest in
DOS support.
