A coupla thought here: I love an OS that I can cusotmize - change to what
I want, or even how I feel for the moment or the task. eg I changed all my
Menu/task bar words to icons. Then I added keyboard command to certain Menu
commands. and combined more than one. For example on one computer with a
very small hard drive I made a shortcut that saved to disk .

The knowledge that seems to be acquired thru the internet seems to me to be
fragmented, old, rehashed, tired, slock, agi-prop, scholch, sleeze, ads,
promos, gottas, gotchas, givemes, and in general extemely poorish and
fragmented. I was a judge for the ThinkQuest competetion. What I saw
there - the use of the inet by our next generation - was that while they
may be in love with TechoWebWhizBlitz, they certainly are not in love with
Truth, critical thinking, evaluation or social responsibity.

Info is not knowledge and knowledge is not wisdom.

The last point here on interface is to back up the thrust of what Jerry
says, plus extend it some. Everybody thinks differently, with different
images, processes, or even without them. Being a right brained person who
got trained in many left brain things (or maybe it was the other way round)
I prefer to organize both my info and the way I use it in both graphical and
linear fashion at the same time.
