A rather detailed list of various earlier BIOSes-setups had appeared in
*print* in one of the better German 'puter mags, "C't" (I have a copy
of this); article was in German <mg/mean grin> though the listing of
the various settings and variations was in original English(?).
It was in editions #2/93 and #3/93 (Feb and Mar, 1993, resp.)
They have a web site with a *huge* archive (www.heise.de --> /ctMMYY or
something like that) which is mirrored on a FTP server
(ftp.uni-paderborn.de) - but to find it there...
If everything else/better wouldn't work I could snail a photocopy.
