Yep, it allows IPX/SPX and netbuei and all sorts of wonderful
things.  Hampers connectivity to another network, like if you have a
network connected through routers or gateways, you may lose that
connection.  I'm not sure if just the dialup loses it (makes sense) or the
whole LAN (wouldn't surprise me) as the book is not clear about that.
