I'd certainly put myself in the "need to do it" category. I see no reason to
sit on my hands while a file gets copied, a floppy formats, a job prints, a
document gets scanned for viruses and a multitude of mundane tasks.
I, for one, would have a hell of a time going back to a single-tasking OS.
Good ol' Quarterdeck was a blessing way back in the mid-to-late 1980's in my
book!
