Kind of. That will tell if there's basic continuity. Unfortunately, a TV
assumes there's always some sort of interference or distortion, so the fact
that you might see a picture (at least using the 75Ohm cable) doesn't
necessarily mean data will work. Of course, if you're still talking about
ARCnet, it'll run across pretty rotten cable. Either way, you will have the
whole BNC to RCA connector issue to deal with. Adapters may cost more than
new cables.
