I assume you are refering to Low-Level formating, since high level formating
is rather trivial :-)

I have never had the pleasure to mess with any ESDI stuff.  Furthermore, I
have never actually low-leveled an RLL or MFM drive myself.  However, it is
my understanding that most controllers have a program in ROM that will do
it.  You will need to use Debug to access it.  You will need to figure out
whet the address of the program is too.   So...you will need to ID your
card.  IBM PS/2 hardware shouldn't be too hard to get the needed info.

Use Nettamer!  It's what I use for my mail and usenet.  Nettamer makes it so
easy to pick and choose which articles to download.  It also makes it easy
to erase emails on certain topics, or "off topics", and whatever.

I would wager that the content in that one newsgroup is valuable enough for
you to find a newsreader that you like.  Those guys are sharp, and they are
usually very willing to help with anything IBM, short of maybe AS400 stuff.
