There is indeed dos software to handle your cd-r in the dos environment. The only thing is though, it's not updated anymore, so you'll need to buy a supported model right away, and not change your drive. (not a problem really) and second, the software only supports scsi drives (this may be a problem if you're not used to/don't have scsi in your machine) It's put out by goldenhawk technologies, (Jeff Arnold is the author) and it can be found at; http://www.goldenhawk.com.
