At best it just won't work... if you're unlucky you'll blow the computer.

The PC needs +12v, -12v and +5v. All these voltages need to be very
accurately regulated (to within 0.3v at the worst). All you will get
from the car is a voltage of somewhere between approximately +12v and +15v.

You need a "switching power supply", just the same as the PC one, but a
version designed to use 12-15v DC instead of 110/220v AC.

If you *really* want to use a computer in a car get a laptop. These
normally have a "12v" DC input for just such occasions.
