Hi;
  I would like to know if there is a SoundBlaster Emulator for DOS. That
is, something that will allow me to play my music CD's through the PC
Speaker.

  I know, I know, it won't sound as good as a SoundBlaster, but as I
have no SoundBlaster card, it will have to do.

  I downloaded the goacd11.zip file from the \cdrom directory at simtel,
and used this program to create a .WAV file from one of my music
CD-ROMs. As this creates a file several megabytes in size for one song,
it's not a very realistic solution. The song coming from my PC Speaker
wasn't that bad though. Kinda brought back memories of my transistor
radio.

  The goacd11.zip program looks great, but in order to play a CD from
within the program, a SoundBlaster is required. If there were a driver
that would "fool" DOS programs into thinking that a SoundBlaster was
installed, and direct the sound out the PC Speaker, well, that would be
an acceptable solution for me.
