Rather easy sollution:
Connect the earphone plug at the front of the CD to a couple of speakers
(or even ear phones).

Much more complicated (and possibly dangerous?) sollution:
Use an extra speaker and connect it to the back of the CD. I have no idea
if this is even a possibility - but in theory it works (in theory nothing
talks against time travel either).

I'll need to test it just to hear how bad it sounds ;)

You should be able to downsample the file and thereby reducing it's size
since that will be done anyway (it's mono in the end for instance).

(Aah, I've apparently already downloaded the entire cdrom directory from
simtel - and this program seems to work nicely. I assumed this crazy idea
of mirroring SimTelNet would pay off eventually.)

Now the easy sollution is like this:
After pressing "W" and name of the file (this is for creating the WAV file
for those who don't have the program) you choose other settings then the
default ones. I used 8620 Hz, mono and 8bit (I think this is the around the
limit for the internal speake).
Now Geri Halliwells "Look at me" takes 2.4M B and that isn't very much IMHO
(of course the mp3 takes a little more but probably sounds much better
anyway so I'll probably use that or my original CD instead <g>)

Unfortunatly I can't test the quality of my speaker since I don't think
it's connected at this time - and my SB16 card is in the way for easy access.
