I am using a cardinal 33.6 ext. voice modem. The drivers I am using
appear to be the latest available and the company is gone and the modem no
longer supported. I want my answering machine software to display the
caller id information on my line when it answers the phone. Currently it
says that the modem is capable, and I have subscribed to the caller display
service, and so the software should automagically take it from there. In
the troubleshooting, there is one step suggested I cannot do, "Make sure
you have the latest inf files for your modem"
I believe this to be the problem.
The computer is running win98 and the answering machine software is
talkworks pro.
Windrivers just says it's out of business. Ideas?

Inertia. It's not just an object at rest tends to stay at rest; it's
also an object in motion tends to stay in motion.
