Hmm...  It may be better to send it to the modem and store it for future
use.  The AT&W0/1 command stores all configurable settings in profile 0/1,
and &Y0/1 tells the modem to use either profile 0/1 when turned on.  Perhaps
you could try typing AT&W0&Y0 into a terminal window, after setting up the
CID.  Failing that, you could do:
MODE COMx:9600,n,8,1
ECHO AT#CID=1&W0&Y0 > COMx:
from a DOS prompt - that'd set up formatted CID information to be selected
each time the modem is turned on.
