I was not talking about FTP's data channel, that's fast. FTP uses
two separate channels: dialog/command (port 21), and data (port 20).
While the data channel always use the max of your connection, the
dialong channel doesn't. Usually it have sluggish response time
(delays between commands and responses), sometimes as bad as news
server. But then, perhaps that's because I'm using WS-FTP... <g>

If what you meant was downloads, then yes, they're generally fast,
but still took an awfull lot of time when you downloading huge --
several MBs -- files. If this done under DOS, you still have to
wait for each previous file to complete, sequentially, before
downloading the next. While the dialog channel is indeed free,
I don't think you can issue more than one download session.

:-)

No, I'm not use FrotPage, just DreamWeaver and M$ ASP (j/k) ;-)

Don't have BulletProof yet, I'll try download it later (and see
how good it is ;-). Got CuteFTP installed, but so far, never tried
it... Silly me... Guess I'm too hooked to WS-FTP's "easyness" <g>.

I knew, that's what good about a list in comatose. Members never
leave, and sometimes even forgot that they still subscribed <g>.
