I read it in NewsWire shortly after trying to register a domain for my
LAN clan. I was expecting something in the mail, but got nothing,
then saw the link on slashdot. IIRC they had a deal with
MelbourneIT but they were cut off.

Could you have customised the 404? I wouldn't have minded doing
that. I noticed the 404 has changed to one showing lots of
virtualave, rather than just "/something was not found on this
server". I also noticed the directory redirection works properly now
(instead of going to s3.virtualave.net)
