hi,
when i first sent this, it was returned to me.

hmmmm
and making all those directories is not?
<grin>
i did remove the present zip directory,
and replace it with a fresh copy.
only to discover that there was
an entire subdirectory in zip of my entire c drive.
i am not kidding a mirror of the c drive
including directores. i have no idea how that happened.

but now i only need do something with dos.
any reason, if the main files needed
are in my route directory, why i cannot remove the dos diretory
before i zip?
copy over the utilities i use regularly and remove the other
things?

other than it makes me nervous of course.

pippi's first idea about unziping on a different drive will work,
too.
thanks to everyone.
the reader canceled so it got moved to monday *sigh*
