Pretty much, although I don't see you needing to do it in another
partition, just another directory, after you've got the drive fixed up and
a good basic install of your main software, then unzip the backup to a
directory off of root, let it create whatever sub directories it wants to
in there, and it won't overwrite anything except what you later copy over.
