Well, actually that's the dark side of my country (IMHO).
Due to the economical "malfunction" at Soeharto era, we
currently "exporting" women to those sweatshops. They are
low-skilled, low-educated labor, who sometimes get abused
overseas. Altough those who survive, usually become pretty
rich women when return (to our standard), not uncommon that
they even able to start their very own small company.

There's still gender-related issue, tough. Women could go
for free to those overseas sweatshops (the costs deducted
later from their salary), men couldn't. Don't ask me the
reasoning... That escapes me either...

In the other side, we already has native feminists since
1928 (IIRC), back when .nl still colonize my country. And
don't forget that our current vice president *is* a woman! ;-)

Now that you mentioned that, you remind me about a list
member that sent me a lengthly descriptions about his (her?)
country's culture <g>

You could learn about my culture, though. Just point your
browser at the following URL:

The site is created and maintenanced by foreigners who lives
here, so I guess its not biased and best-suited as starting
point for world readers...

What/who are feminazis?
