My sister got a 30G drive on a 1GHz AMD K7 Athelon, running Windows ME.
When using the default windows Scandisk on that drive, it will take about
half the day to complete it, plus pauses from the system for unclear
reasons. That means, about 9, 10 hours.. (its an IDE drive).
Not sure its connected, but I thought I should mention that.
The time sounds similiar.
