Open it and check for corrosion, if there isn't any corrosion visible then
it might work when fully dried, I'd stick it near a heating source, not
close enough to get warm and damage the plastic, but enough to slowly dry
it and just be really patient, wait a few weeks, with it open, perhaps a
cloth over it to keep dust out. Give it LOTS of time to dry before
assembling and testing it.
Disks, well, worth popping into a drive, but expect them to be shot from
corrosion or mould or particles and you can't open them to dry.
