i'm using win98, but you should be able to do a basic uninstall of IE
through the add/remove programs icon in the control panel. it will
leave behind some of the .dll files and so forth that were installed.
but it shouldn't harm your system. if you have enough hard drive
space, and you're talking about the IE 3 that comes with win95, i
would just leave it. but that's a personal choice.
the dialer that Opera uses is the default win95 winsock. you might
want to make sure you're using the updated version, i think it's
winsock 2. you should be able to find it and download it from either
the Microsoft site or perhaps Windows95.com or
Slaughterhouse.com.
