Sam,

One product in particular can do a very thorough
removal of IE 4.x/5.x and safely unhook the IE
aspects from the Windows Explorer front end.

URL is www.98lite.net and he explains it all
pretty well.

You should spend a few minutes there, even if
you don't choose that removal method.

Opera does not include dialer or other network
support, instead it relies on the Windows dial-up
networking (under network properties).
