This is true, but I do not see that as a drawback.  You can use any
ascii file viewer to read the mail and you can use any text editor
to compose an original message or a reply.

Maybe this was true in the case of an old version.  The current version
will encode/decode MIME and UUENCODED attachments automagically.  I
know this to be a fact.  I often use the current version.

It is easy to confuse the name NetMail Pro, a shareware program by
David Colston, with NetMail 2.12 for DOS, a freeware program by Marc
Ressl.  I have used both.  They are both very fine programs.  One
very nice feature incorporated into NetMail 2.12 for DOS is that you
can enable a "flood control" feature to block email bombs, such as
very large spam messages.
