I see you already got some suggestions on where to look. I'd also take a
look in the Microsoft Knowledge Base. Over the years I found some good
articles there.

The URL where I can search the Knowledge Base seems to change now and
then (Microsoft must have some folks employed who never heard of "if it
ain't broken - don't fix it"). But a few weeks back I got there with
this URL (it's all one long line):
