Don't see why not, if it'll run from a hard drive. I think I've even seen some embedded applications that use QNX in just this way, too. I've never used QNX personally, though I have looked at it from time to time, and read over their WWW pages. I really haven't needed to use it, and there's so many other things to keep one's curiosity busy. > Also curious if there is a >converter that would allow connecting CF to a laptop through a card slot? >I have some old Compaq LapTop Computers that the hard drive has "went >South" and the only drive is the floppy and card slots. If that doesn't suit you, then you should be able to boot from floppy, and set up the "PCMCIA Card services" to allow you to use a CF-to- PCMCIA adaptor (inexpensive, and readily available), to access a CF that way. I don't think you'll be able to boot from the CF, if you put the CF into a PCMCIA slot, but you'll at least be able to benefit from the increased storage. Hope this helps, Anthony J.
