Small comfort, Bob, but those green-nosed farts evidently are plain _ignorant_ that just every mail order shop in the US will charge 16 USD for shipping, even if the piece was two cents and would fit in a normal mail envelope.
They seem to have either senile amnesia or were not even born yet so they're ignorant too about the lengthy discussions here on this very list - resurging every once in a while - where the limits for the "survival" criteria were (and that the answer inevitably is floating; admittedly though, Boolean is difficult to assess for floating point absolutists.) But they should be reminded perhaps that the theme of Linux was only hesitantly accepted then, and definitely not with the notion of having this list derived into a temple of proselytes and fundamentalists of all sorts. (And similar lessons were told hardcore bullDOSers,<g>.) Just for the fun of it: At the time I bought two of those adapters for 4x1 MB (hehe: new ones !) but nowadays these and linking things are simply impossible to find any more hereabouts. Good to know thus that there are such rare sources available. // Heimo Claasen // <hammer at revobild dot net> // Brussels 2003-01-29 The WebPlace of ReRead - and much to read ==> http://www.revobild.net I've yet to work out whether people are just ignorant or plain stupid.
