Steve,
A friend of mine had this working with absolutely no effort whatsoever.
(assuming you've got scsi in the kernel).
Just create several mount points (cdrom0-6 etc), and the thing just
automatically unmounts and mounts each time you do a search down the tree!
Brilliant stuff.
