getting diesel in your crankcase would be severe problem, as it's not a
lubricant like oil. vegetable oil would be less of a problem, but over time,
could be an issue. fortunately that time period is much longer than your oil
change parameters. a diesel that idles for long periods of time should have
it's oil changed based on hours, not miles.
