I'm surprised.
Maybe with the SVG 1.0 feature string : "org.w3c.svg.animation"

and I forgot to tell you, FakeSMILe doesn't support hasFeature either.
I mean, it doesn't override the hasFeature function so that it would return
true. I could not do it, for security reasons I think (?)

Though if your test happens after the document onload event, you can test
document.documentElement.getAttribute("smiling")=="fake"
(yeah I know, I should use "data-smiling" instead)
