Hi! I would like to include SWFObject as-is in my own open-source project (Wordpress Plugin) that is licensed under the GPLv2.
Regarding the compatibility of the GPLv2 with the MIT License, there should not be any issue: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#GPLCompatibleLicenses I do not plan to make any modifications to the SWFObject source code, but I would like to ship its JavaScript file without the accompanying files (i.e. not the full contents of the archive and neither the archive itself). Is that possible? What else do I have to take care of? The MIT License usually requires a copyright statement, but I did not find any copyright statement in the swfobject.js file. Do I need to ship the full MIT License text? I plan to add a section to my plugin's documentation that states what license my plugin is under and that it uses SWFObject which is under the MIT License. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work, Jens -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SWFObject" group.
