Well, kinda... DOCSIS has some overhead on the HF-part which only can be resolved with a little bit of oversizing the provisioned bandwidth. The MSO also fixes with this the "loss of packets" if you have a bad "Hausinstallation" (bad HF-signal) which will cause some bandwidth problems.There is PPPoE overhead also with cable, right?!
