Hello Peter Without wanting to start some kind of "jihad of emailing" here: Information on mailing lists is seldom quite that sensitive. About the communication-patterns profilig: So what? Sure, "they" will see I communicate with xy twice a week, etc. It's not as if I'd have anything to hide about my communications partners. The content is secured by PGP, that's (imo, still) the important fact. Do you have a strong electro-magnet or a disk drive piercing unit (TM, just invented the thing on the fly...) near your mail servers? You'd need that, obviously, if a "vaudoise she-judge" (thanks John ;-) ) ever knocks on your door with a search warrant... Cheers Fermin

Ever heard of profiling communication-patterns? You'd need an anonymizer to completely get rid of this possibility, but if you run your own mailserver, chances are much lower. And besides you can't use GPG for a lot of communication (like mailinglists).
