Hi >> Following well-known sites (fortune 100 blah blah blah) have already >> adopted SPF. Not convinced, yet? > NO. Microsoft has a patent pending on something like spf.
No, that's Caller-ID. It's similar to SPF, but it matches the "From:" header rather than the Envelope-From. And the data is stored as serialized XML in DNS TXT records (*cough* *puke* .. UGLY .. *cough*). "..The Sender ID specification is the convergence of Microsoft's Caller ID for E-Mail proposal and Meng Wong's Sender Policy Framework (SPF)..." http://www.microsoft.com/senderid A random article I found on google on both standards: http://www.winnetmag.com/Windows/Article/ArticleID/42136/42136.html -- Kind Regards Daniel Lorch Full-time SPF evangelist Hostpoint GmbH | The Data Residence | Zrcherstrasse 2 | 8640 Rapperswil | Schweiz Tel +41 55 220 0404 | Fax +41 55 220 0409 | www.hostpoint.ch _______________________________________________ swinog mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.init7.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog
