Hello,
I got home about 5PM. There must be some truth about antennas performing
better when put up in rain or snow storms as I am listening to Morocco
on 171 KHz using the WJ-8711A and the Wellbrook loop. Currently snowing
and another 3 to 6 inches expected by tomorrow noon.
Unfortunately I stayed up late and the sun, that awakened me at 6:50 AM
the past two mornings, was a no show. So I got on the road a little
later than planned. No snow until just before the lunch stop in Norwalk,
CT. The snow was very light and turned to light as travel progressed
along Route 15. The slowest part was around New Haven as it looked like
it snowed lightly for longer and the road was slippery. Conditions
improved on I-84 in NE CT, but there were still icy spots underneath
overpasses. The Mass Pike and the Boston area was good as the light snow
had just started.
From what I heard from later travel information, it got worse in NY and
CT several hours after I drove through, so I am glad to be home. Thanks
again for a wonderful fest. I hope everyone gets home safely.

We make it back here at about noon. No snow on the drive until we got into our
immediate home area and now probably a couple of inches deep of fluffy stuff,
beginning to be covered by ice crystals.
It was a great event and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to Rich and
John for another fine mess, er I mean fest.
Mark F, safe travels back to VK land and it was definitely our pleasure to make
sure you were well taken care of are you regaled us with tales of your
adventures, tech and otherwise.
Mark P, thanks for keeping us all time synchronized and for the astronomy
conversation that you and Tina had.
73 to all, Dan

I’m going to claim bragging rights to be the person last home (arriving back
home Wednesday) - err actually the Finn contingent will beat me to that, they
have another week here.
Well I’m still at the hotel and it has transformed in a winter wonderland with
a nice blanket of fresh snow now covering the grounds. Too cold for a Aussie to
be out in that stuff today. Thanks to Richard and John, and my wingmen
(wingpersons) Thomas, Ed, Dan and Tina who make sure I am introduced to
everyone and also keep my glass topped-up. What a great friendly community all
you guys have, everyone is so friendly. Its sure worth the trip, so I will see
you all again for sure
Cheers,
Mark (Australia)

I know some of you are still sleeping but I thought I'd claim bragging rights

A big thanks for Richard and John for putting in yet another sterling effort.
See you all at Tom's event on NC later this year?
Mark
