Hi, I see, I understand now. Your initial e-mail should have been that short and sweet :)
I think the documentation of Symfony2 assumes a lot of prerequisites to programming in PHP, OOP, best practices, etc. It is difficult to write documentation for the library and also try and have it teach you about all these other things a long the way. Maybe we make too many assumptions. I don't know. Either way, we have to make some assumptions about prior knowledge of developers as it would be impossible to write the documentation otherwise. So, the question really is how many and how big of assumptions we make. Hopefully, over time we can realize improvements and make it easier for everyone and lower the entry barrier. - Jon On Thu, Mar 3, 2011 at 11:21 AM, Alexander Sergeyev <[email protected]>wrote: > Jon, > thanks for your time and effort. > > I'm glad we have something in common now, for I feel same confusion reading > Symfony2 tour after classic books.
