I've extended your deadline, as I think it's important to get this right.

One question. What is the difference between the one at the top right and the one to the immediate left of that? They are both on a white background, but the one on the right looks different (worse, actually). Is this the original?

Any luck with making it square? I guess you can just add whitespace above and below it, unless you think there's a better way (chopping off the tail or something). I mostly need a square non-text logo for the favicon, so that solution may be better, (though only if there's enough tail to chop off).

Oh, and by the way, the white "fat" around the original image was not antialiasing. This was the result of a very cheap mask on the original logo by me to make the white background transparent.
