Comment #4 on issue 4096 by [email protected]: Poly.coeff works only after .simply().expand()
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=4096

What's the relevant definition for "polynomial" in sympy?

The f# (f0, f1, f2, f3) variables in that expression are never in the denominator. Thus, in a standard mathematical sense, where all the other variables are treated as constant, it is a perfectly valid polynomial of f#. If the project uses a non-standard definition of polynomials, it'd be a good idea to put that in the documentation.

Thanks!
