Comment #10 on issue 4096 by [email protected]: Poly.coeff works only
after .simply().expand()
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=4096
Gosh. I'd read that error message so many times and had "coeff_monomial"
return zero everytime such that I didn't even think to try it now that I'm
using Poly correctly.
Poly(poly, f0).coeff_monomial(f0)
works correctly and is much much faster than
poly.simplify().expand().coeff(f0).
Thanks for your help. I think the Poly page deserves an improved section on
dealing with this sort of situation.
Best wishes,
Ben
