Hi, After we drop Python 2.5 support, I wonder if it is possible to support both Python 2 and 3 in a single code base.
It seems that this is what actually other projects use. See this PR that introduced this change to scipy: https://github.com/scipy/scipy/pull/397 and follow the discussion, e.g. a link to IPython discussion there (that suggests to slowly start turning off individual fixers that the 2to3 tool does, until it is not needed anymore).
