[syslog-sec] embedding hashes in messages

I think I've seen a few people show syslog messages like this:

1 Jan 1970 12:00 unix telnetd[100]: received connection from 127.0.0.1 
<abc719d0efb184c>

Make sure the hash function is mentioned in the message somewhere!
i.e. <md5:abc719d0efb184c>
