A Mac Plus transferring serial data at 230kbps?  I thought the cap was
128kbps.

Heh. I didn't think about the Plus's limitations. I was just regurgitating the data rate for LocalTalk. I'm not sure what the limit is on the Plus during LocalTalk operations. It might be listed in "The Guide to the Mac Family Hardware", but I don't feel like looking it up. :-)
