Following on from my question about multiple boot set-ups for the SE, can I safely run System 4.1 on a SE FDHD, and have everything work except the 1.4M floppy disk support?
If I use System 3.2, which was designed for the Plus and 512K/800, I know that the Key Caps DA won't support either of the new ADB keyboard layouts, and every partition on the hard disk must be kept below 32Mb (although four 30Mb partitions on a 120Mb hard disk is perfectly alright). Are there any other things I need to watch out for? For instance, INIT files in the System folder won't work: will that mess up the System Picker multiple boot utility? -- System6 is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> System 6 Heaven <http://www.euronet.nl/users/mvdk/system_6_heaven.html> System6 info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/system6.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:system6@mail.maclaunch.com> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/system6%40mail.maclaunch.com/> --------------------------------------------------------------- iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deals www.1800ipod.com ---------------------------------------------------------------
