udev does a couple of things differently i guess, since it predates the rest of systemd. I mean, it is called "libudev", and not "libsystemd-udev" after all... Kay keeps talking of replacing libudev by libsystemd-udev and doing a bit of API clean-ups on the way, but I am not too convinced yet...
