Having roamed in Europe and the Middle East, the experience has been
good. When in Europe, I kept my T-mo sim card in and was able to choose
from numerous wireless carriers (only 99 cents per minute). When I was
in Israel, I purchased an Orange pre-paid sim card for 175 shekels
(about US$40, was $35 when I was there). Again, I had no problems using
the sim card and using the service. I plan to be in Canada soon, and
expect to be able to use my phone seamlessly. An unlocked GSM world
phone is your friend.

Subject: [T-Mobile-US] Roaming in foreign countries

Anyone had experience using their T-Mobile service using the World
Class option? Did you use it in Europe, Asia, Canada, Mexico? How
did the service and cost seem to you? Has anyone gone the other
route and switched SIM cards to the local one? How does a person
figure out if it's worth the extra cost for a different SIM? Did you
buy your SIM in the country or off a website here in the US?
