The activation kit is what you're buying and what is being sold on eBay.
That's where I bought the prepaid SIM we have and keep as our emergency
backup line and eventually the kids will probably inherit.

As for the Moto v195 being the best phone, I wouldn't go that far, not by a
long shot. CR opinions don't carry a lot of weight with me ever since they
published that Wal-mart's brand ol'roy dog food was the best value dog food
on the market. But I digress, I've never liked Motos much.

Subject: [T-Mobile-US] How to sign up for prepaid?

I'm thinking of buying a Motorola V195 t-mobile phone on ebay. Consumer
reports says that is the best phone for t-mobile. The phone doesn't have a
SIM card. T-moblie says I will need a $50 prepaid activation kit that will
include a SIM card. New SIM cards can be bought cheaply on ebay.
Will I still need to get the $50 activation kit if I buy a SIM card on ebay?
